![]() Ok so it’s that time of year again. No not that time, but that time. Now everyone sing along. ‘Tis the season to be jo… (record scratch sound with yelling DJ) REMIIIIIIIX (more record scratching.) ‘Tis the season to be PROCRASTINATING!!! I know, I know. You’re saying, “What in the world is he talking about? What does procrastination have to do with the Christmas season?” Nothing really, except that Christmas falls just before New Years, which has morphed into the perfect excuse to procrastinate. Think about it, what is it about the New Year’s Resolution that is so resolute? We have all these things that we’ve known all year we need to change. So we sit back and take an honest inventory of the error of our ways over the last 11 months and finally decide to……….wait a few more weeks to do something about it. Add Comment So just yesterday, across the entire social media spectrum, or least the parts in which my keyboard lurks, I sent out my idea for CMas replacing XMas (I'm sure I wasn't the first.) Initially, I just twittered it out, but then @slwlevi posted it on his facebook, and he got some good replies, so he suggested I send it to everyone on the Street Life Worldwide newsletter list. So I did, as well as on my facebook page and some other sites we have.
I got several supportive email replies, and one not so supportive. It wasn't contrary, just not the usual "Amen Halleluah I'm Down With That" reply like most of the email responses to that post. But it was very interesting and informative. Now before I go into it, let me first clarify one thing. OK OK. I got it...The new non-antichrist abbreviation for Christmas. XMas is out. CMAS is in!...if you just must abbreviate. Pass the word. Just a few more weeks till CMas to get the word out. Street Life Worldwide wishes you and yours a very merry CHRISTMAS Merry CMas Merry CMas Merry CMas What do you think? Can we get this to catch on? | Robert Taylor I've been with SLW since late 1999, and I've been through my spiritual ups and downs. Come see. On this blog I'll just share my thoughts on some issues from time to time, trying not to ramble too much and to make it worth your read all at the same time. Wish me luck.
