Day 16 of the Bible in a Year - My Thoughts 01/16/2010
![]() 16 days down, 349 to go. Today’s scriptures for my Read the Bible in a Year plan are Genesis 32:13 – 34:31; Matthew 11:7-30; Psalms 14:1-7; Proverbs 3:19-20. I wrote more today than normal. Oh well. Just to chew on or...you know. 1. NEVER SATISFIED UNLESS WE HAVE GOD OUR WAY 2. FAILURE TO PERSIST ENSURES FAILURE – MOVE OVER HULK HOGAN. HERE COMES JACOB 3. LIKE FATHER LIKE SON. JACOB’S SAGA CONTINUES. 1. NEVER SATISFIED UNLESS WE HAVE GOD OUR WAY In Matthew 11:16-19 Jesus basically tells the people they are never satisfied. Jesus explains that John the Baptist and his disciples came fasting and refraining from wine, but he was an eccentric fellow living in the wilderness, and people said he was demon possessed. Then Jesus came not fasting, and the people called him a glutton, and a party animal that hung out with sinners.
