YOUR TALENTS AND GIFTS AREN’T YOURS TO WASTE We all have a gift. Some of us are great athletes. Others are gifted teachers. Others are really good at business. Some are talented artists. Whatever your gift, it is not meant to be yours to simply use as you wish. Whatever money, resources and status your gift brings you, they are not simply for you to live the good life. ![]() 18 days down, 347 to go. Today’s scriptures for my Read the Bible in a Year plan are Genesis 37:1 – 38:30; Matthew 12:22-45; Psalms 16:1-11; Proverbs 3:27-32. Here are my thoughts on today’s readings. Hope you find them interesting…or at least tolerable. 1. JESUS IS...I MEAN WAS MY CO-PILOT 2. CHRISTIANITY’S UNIQUE HEROES 1. JESUS IS...I MEAN WAS MY CO-PILOT In Matthew 12:38-45, the Pharisees asked Jesus for a miracle to prove that He was the Messiah. Of course Jesus had already done many miracles, and they were acutely aware of it. Jesus then calls them a wicked generation and tells a story about casting the devil out of a person. He says that when an evil spirit leaves a person and if that person remains “empty”, the evil spirit will eventually come back with seven more spirits worse then the first. Jesus said this was the case with the Pharisees of his day. I wonder what that would that look like today, and can we as the Day 12 of the Bible in a Year - My Thoughts 01/12/2010

FAITHFULNESS AS AN INVESTMENT Everyone’s always looking for a good investment, and in today’s economic climate, investments haven’t been yielding the greatest returns. But regardless of how much money you have, or how the economy is going, in Genesis 26:23-25, we learn about an investment that always yields a great return. | Robert Taylor I've been with SLW since late 1999, and I've been through my spiritual ups and downs.
