Today’s scriptures for my Read the Bible in a Year plan are Exodus 2:10 – 3:22; Matthew 17:10-27; Psalms 22:1-18; Proverbs 5:7-14.

1. CAUGHT IN BETWEEN TWO WORLDS
Have you ever felt out of place in your world? Like you don’t exactly fit in? Well there may be hope for you after all.

In Exodus 3, we find the star of The Ten Commandments movie, Moses, in just this predicament. He was born a Hebrew, but had been raised an Egyptian. At some point, he becomes aware of his true heritage.

On Sunday 11/22/09, we participated in an outreach coordinated by Andre and LaTarsha Barnes of Impact Ministries. Andre Barnes, also known as 007, was a member of The Fifth Ward Boys, a popular Houston based secular rap group that rose to national prominence in the 1990's. Now, however, he and his wife are sold out soldiers for the Lord. SLW provided the Texas Mobile Media Truck aka the M5 for stage and sound for this outreach, which was held across the street from Wesley Place apartments in South Park, a hood in south east inner city Houston. Satan has this apartment complex and community strongly oppressed with drug abuse and other vices, and sadly, many young children and teenagers are left abandoned and wounded as collateral damage.

Enter RAGE. RAGE is a female Christian rapper with a powerful ministry. I've seen her minister several times, and she always brings the word and the Holy Spirit whenever she shows up, but this time, God showed in a special way. To make a long story short, she performed her song "I Go Hard" (always a crowd-rocker) and young kids and teenagers formed a big crowd right in front of our M5 stage. Once she completed the song, she began to minister and conduct an altar call, to which dozens of kids responded. Then RAGE did something that I hadn't seen before.
