Have you ever felt out of place in your world? Like you don’t exactly fit in? Well there may be hope for you after all.

In Exodus 3, we find the star of The Ten Commandments movie, Moses, in just this predicament. He was born a Hebrew, but had been raised an Egyptian. At some point, he becomes aware of his true heritage.

Today’s scriptures for my Read the Bible in a Year plan are Genesis 44:1 – 45:28; Matthew 14:13-36; Psalms 18:36-50; Proverbs 4:11-13.

Here are my thoughts on today’s readings. I’m going to try to start being shorter than usual.

1. PURPOSE IN PAIN, FORTUNE IN MISFORTUNE
Now we come to the climax in our story of Joseph, the Hebrew slave who becomes 2nd in command of the entire Egyptian empire. In Genesis 44 & 45, after putting his brothers through one more test, Joseph finally reveals to his brothers who he is.
