 | How we got started in evangelistic movies...
The church sends missionaries all over the world, but we have been missing this mission field right here in our own back yard. For too many young people today, their pastor is their favorite rapper, and the teachings and parables of Jesus Christ have been replaced by Hollywood's movies and television programming. One night in 2003, while I was washing dishes and watching TV, I began praying to the Lord about the state of the media and the influence that it is having on both the world and the church. Rather than just complain about it however, the Lord compelled me to do something about it. He began to reveal to me what our ministry's part would be in countering the influence of secular media by producing "evangelistic" film and television. This would be programming that promotes the gospel and a Christian worldview to both Christian and secular audiences. This was the beginning of our journey into film production. |
